Programmatic Visual Advertising
Every visual surface a brand can buy in India — Connected TV, OTT and non-OTT video, premium display, and programmatic outdoor screens — planned as one awareness buy, with one set of frequency rules and one report, rather than four disconnected line items.
What programmatic visual advertising means
Programmatic visual advertising is any advertising the audience sees — video, display or outdoor — bought through automated auctions with audience, context and frequency controls, instead of negotiated site by site and app by app.
The word that matters is visual. Audio is bought on attention without a screen. Visual formats compete for the eye, which makes viewability, screen size, viewing distance and creative legibility part of the media decision rather than an afterthought handed to the studio.
The word that matters almost as much is one. A brand running CTV with one partner, OTT video with a second, display with a third and outdoor with a fourth has no way to know how often a single household met the brand. Visora plans these surfaces together for exactly that reason.
The visual surfaces Visora buys
| Surface | Where it runs | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Connected TV | Smart TVs, streaming apps, FAST channels, TV home screens | The hero moment. Non-skippable, sound on, frequently co-viewed. See CTV targeting. |
| Video OTT and non-OTT | OTT apps plus web and in-app video beyond the TV set | Scalable online video reach, including regional-language and Bharat audiences. |
| Display Ad Network | Premium publishers and apps, with hyperlocal and contextual controls | Always-on visual presence and reinforcement between video moments. |
| Programmatic DOOH | Digital outdoor screens in high-visibility zones | City-level visibility with zone and daypart control. See DOOH. |
Video OTT and non-OTT
Connected TV is the big screen in the living room. Video OTT and non-OTT is everything else that plays video — OTT apps on personal devices, web video and in-app video. Use CTV when the brief demands living-room delivery. Use OTT and non-OTT video when the brief demands scale, breadth of language, or reach beyond households that own a Smart TV.
Display Ad Network
Premium publishers and apps with contextual controls and hyperlocal targeting. Display rarely carries a brand story alone. It does the quiet work between video moments, which is exactly why it belongs in the same frequency plan as the video rather than in a separate buy.
Brand safety, viewability and context
Controls are set before launch, not diagnosed afterwards.
- Publisher allow-lists and category exclusions agreed with the brand before the campaign is built
- Contextual controls so the placement suits the message and the surrounding content
- Viewability standards applied per format, reported per format
- Cross-publisher frequency capping so one household is not over-exposed on one platform and missed on another
- Fraud controls — Connected TV inventory is app-authenticated and carries under 1% fraud, against roughly 15 to 18% for open-web display, which is one reason the mix matters
Creative specifications
Each surface reads at a different distance, which changes the creative rather than only the file size.
Video
MP4, H.264 codec. Big-screen CTV at 1920×1080 minimum, 15, 20 or 30 seconds, non-skippable. Online video accepts shorter cuts. Under 15MB.
Display
Standard IAB sizes: 300×250, 728×90, 160×600 and 320×50 for mobile. JPG, PNG, GIF or HTML5. Under 150KB static, under 200KB for HTML5.
Legibility
A CTV frame is read from about ten feet away; a mobile banner from twelve inches; an outdoor screen from across a road. One master asset will not serve all three. Plan for three sets.
How the buy is reported
Visora is an awareness business, so a visual plan is reported on brand outcomes and delivery quality: recall lift and consideration lift through a Brand Lift Study, incremental reach against the existing plan, viewability by format, completion-led video reporting, and delivery by publisher, geography and daypart.
What you will not get is a click-based dashboard dressed up as a brand report. If a brief needs lower-funnel measurement, we will tell you that programmatic visual awareness media is the wrong line item for it.
Standard go-live is 48 to 72 hours from approved creative. Multi-surface plans with sequenced creative take five to seven days to configure.
Frequently asked questions
What is programmatic visual advertising?
It is visual advertising — video, display or digital outdoor — bought through automated auctions with audience, context, geography, daypart and frequency controls, rather than negotiated separately with each publisher or screen owner.
How is it different from programmatic audio?
Visual formats compete for the eye, so viewability, screen size and viewing distance shape both the buy and the creative. Audio reaches the audience when no screen is in use. Most strong awareness plans use both, counted against the same household.
Which visual surfaces does Visora cover?
Connected TV on Smart TVs, OTT and non-OTT online video, premium display across publishers and apps, and programmatic digital out-of-home screens. All four can sit in one plan with one set of frequency rules.
Can one creative asset run across every surface?
It should not. A CTV frame is read from about ten feet, a mobile banner from a foot, and an outdoor screen from across a road. Plan at least three creative sets: big-screen video, online video and display, and outdoor.
What brand safety controls are available?
Publisher allow-lists, content category exclusions, contextual controls, per-format viewability standards and cross-publisher frequency capping. These are agreed and set before launch.
How is a programmatic visual campaign measured?
Recall lift and consideration lift through a Brand Lift Study, plus incremental reach, viewability by format, completion-led video reporting, and delivery by publisher, geography and daypart.
